Bridge construction: M12 exit on the N2 in George

6 August 2024, 19h00 to 20h00

SANRAL has announced a night-time lane closure as part of the ongoing construction of the new bridge at the Thembalethu interchange.

Motorists will be diverted at the Pacaltsdorp Bridge and at the M12 exit onto the N2

Planned electricity shutdown: Portion of Wilderness, Dumbleton

Tuesday 6 August, 09:00 - 16:00

Electricity supply will be interrupted for the purpose of doing alterations to the electrical mains. Consumers are warned to treat the installation as being live for the full duration as the supply may be resumed at any time within the notified period.

Should circumstances prevent the work being carried out during the abovementioned period; the work will be done on Wednesday 7 August at the same times.

Planned electricity shutdown: Heather Park, Portion of Tommy Joubert Street

Monday 12 August, 09:00 - 16:00

Electricity supply will be interrupted for the purpose of doing alterations to the electrical mains. Consumers are warned to treat the installation as being live for the full duration as the supply may be resumed at any time within the notified period.

Should circumstances prevent the work being carried out during the abovementioned period; the work will be done on Tuesday 13 August at the same times.

Saldanha

Planned water shutdown: Saldanha, Sixth, Loerie, Vraagom, Seemeeu, Piet My Vrou, Fifth and Boom Streets (surrounding areas may experience low water pressure)

Wednesday, 7 August, 09:00 to 16:00

Water supply to the affected consumers will be temporarily suspended. Note that the water supply may be restored earlier than scheduled without further notice as soon as the works involved are completed.

After the completion of the maintenance works, the process may take a while before normal pressure and supply are fully restored. 

A water tanker will be on standby during this maintenance period.
